5.0 out of 5 stars When is "I love this book" week?, Oct 28 2008
By Virginia Allain "(retired librarian)" - Published on Amazon.com

It's great fun finding oddball days and weeks to celebrate in Chase's Calendar of Events. This is invaluable for libraries and radio stations. Besides telling you when National BBQ Day is, it also gives a few details about various holidays. I can't count the number of times I used this book during my years as a librarian. Often the information can't be found anywhere else.
I haven't tried the CD-ROM but imagine it would be convenient looking things up on Chase's using the computer. The book is well-indexed, so it's easy to use.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Have for Marketers, Retailers, Speakers and Bloggers, Nov 26 2008

Imagine always having something new and interesting to write or talk about. Every day of the year!

This book gives you that amazing ability, no matter how tongue tied or writer's cramped you are.

Every day you have a selection of subjects that are as topical as possible - after all they are all about today. If you are planning any event at all - you will always have a reason with this valuable resource (National Muffin Day Celebration).

For a blogger or web copywriter - this is like a box of gold.

How much is it worth to never be at a loss when you need to get out some copy? For me, way more than the reasonable investment of this book.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money, Mar 7 2011

I thought I would use this for all sorts of fun facts about many days of the week. Thought it would be fun for my daughters and I to celebrate obscure special days most people don't know about. And it is. However, this book is full of many, many, many details that don't have anything to do with what we wanted. It does give you fun facts for some days but not for all of them the way I had thought it was going to. Mostly it's random info. I wouldn't buy it again.
