In other memorable episodes, Andy Andy (Derek McGrath) returns to terrorize Diane ("Diane's Nightmare"), the gang tries to turn the tables on Gary's Old Town Tavern in a bowling match ("From Beer to Eternity"), and Frasier sets up a night at the opera ("Diane Chambers Day"). In the three-part season finale ("Strange Bedfellows"), Sam begins dating a politician (Kate Mulgrew, later of Star Trek: Voyager) running for reelection. Diane decides to work for her opponent before taking a more drastic step, leading to Sam's memorable telephone call that served as a cliffhanger leading to season 5. Unlike previous seasons, the DVD set has no extras. --David Horiuchi

best season,

It's hard to pick a "best" season from your all-time favourite television show, because it's all the best, and you don't want to discriminate against any other season. However, if I did have to choose, Season 4 would be my choice. I pretty much think every episode in Season 4 is a classic. If you had money for only 1 Cheers DVD set, pick up this one.

Okay, but not the best season for Classic Cheers Episodes,
By A Customer
This review is from: Cheers: Season 4 (DVD)
The shows were okay, and features the debut of Woody in this season set, which was the main reason why I bought the set. You can totally tell the season has an 80's look and feel to it, even to how the shows were made compared to today. There are no extras for this box set, and just contain the episodes themselves, which are okay but do not stand out. It would have been nice to at least get a preview or description of each episode, to know what each one was about. There is not much classic episodes here, and the season mainly focuses on Diane and Sam's relationship. I am waiting for Season 6, with the debut of Kristie Alley, when the show really takes off, and has tons of classic episodes, with all cast members.

Absolutely the greatest show ever. Period.,

The greatest show ever!! I think you have to be somewhat intelligent, to watch Cheers. Because if your looking for fart jokes, or something stupid like that, you won't find them in Cheers. Its arguably the most smartly written show ever. With the greatest cas ever. And the fourth season is classic. Unfortunately Coach died. I loved him. He was hilarious. but I welcome Woody, who is very hilarious also. A classic show, that everyone should own on dvd. Just as a side note Sam and Cliff are my two favorite characters. But I love them all.
