Product Description

This citrus reamer extracts all of the juice from citrus fruit with unique, contoured reamers that conform to the inner shape of the fruit. The juicer has both large and small reamers for different sizes of citrus fruit. The dual strainer system screens for pulp twice: once when you squeeze the juice and again when you pour. For those who prefer pulp in their juice, simply remove the lid of the juicer when pouring. The base of the juicer is an ergonomic measuring cup with measurements marked in teaspoons, tablespoons, ounces, cups, and millilitres.

I bought this juicer because it had the best review by consumer reports. It is very easy to get the juice out of lemons and oranges it is not bulky easy to store. If you need a cup of juice for the morning does the job.Very easy to clean. The bottom does not slip when you use it.

I used to own a simple hand-held juicer that I bought from Ikea 7 years ago. I moved countries and sadly had to leave some kitchen stuff behind. I searched for the same kind in different stores. But none of them performed as that juicer left behind. After reading a consumer magazine, this chef'n juicester was featured in it's highly recommended to buy page. I did not think twice about buying one. Since then, I stopped shopping around for juicers. The measuring container is a big help, the lid that filters the seeds from a lemon is a plus, and so is the detachable juicer head that allows you to switch to the size of the thing you want to squeeze. And yes, it delivers. It will give you the juice!

The best lemmon and orange juicer (manual) I've ever owned. I used it everyday...especially since I go through about 4 or 5 lemons per day.

Ingenious cool looking juicer July 7 2011

Had this for juicer for over a month now and we are very happy with it. It is cool looking and it has a nice ergonomic shape. Although we didn't use that feature yet, the cup can be used as a measuring cup, and it even has oblique markings where you can measure small amounts by holding the cup tilted. We are squeezing lemons all the time for a light lemonade that we make, and it's pretty good at that. The small seeds will fall through in the cup though, which is a small negative. Also a small negative would be the fact that it is plastic, but it's a high quality plastic nonetheless. All in all recommended if you are looking for a nice looking and very functional little basic juicer.

Too small even for one person Oct. 22 2011
By Summer - Published on Amazon.com
This juicer is very pretty and solid, it looks nice and expensive for a small gadget like that. But after using it only twice, I found two problems.

The first is not a big problem, which is its narrow neck, as you can see from the picture. This makes cleaning the container a bit hard, although normally a rinse is enough, every now and then I prefer a thorough cleaning using a sponge. I guess I could use one of those bottle brush, but still not sure how well that'll work.

The biggest problem, however, is the size of the top orange part. I mainly use it for orange or grapefruit juicing, so far I've always put the bigger reamer on. But guess what, once that is on, there's very little space left for the pulp. After one grapefruit, I already have to use a spoon to "squeeze" the juice from the pulp so that it can go down to the container. Two grapefruits will involve a lot of manual squeezing of the pulp, not fun at all!

Awesome Asset in any Kitchen June 26 2011

I'm so glad I bought this juicer. It's so easy to use, super easy to clean, and I love that the top comes off, leaving just the measuring cup part. It's super functional and a great item, especially for its price. I will definitely be using this frequently in the future.

Not as perfect as reviews make it sound Jan. 13 2013
By avidreader - Published on Amazon.com
I was so excited about buying this. It is such a great idea and mostly the design is ingenious. I love the measuring aspect of it! But there are two flaws that make it annoying to use:

1. Strainer lets very small seeds through. This is especially a problem with lemons and limes, which is mostly what I use this for. So I end up still having to pour the squeezed juice through a fine mesh strainer when adding it to a recipe. This also lets quite a bit of pulp through, which is ok for some recipes, but I make a lot of salad dressings and too much pulp isn't nice in a vinaigrette.

2. The body of the container is too lightweight. I wish it was made of glass for better stability when pushing on it. When I apply enough downward pressure while twisting to really squeeze the last bit out of the citrus, the plastic container tends to wobble a bit or tip over and I end up picking it up off the counter and holding the juicer in left hand while using right hand to twist the citrus all in mid air instead of on the countertop. Doing it this way feels awkward.

With a finer stainer and a glass body this might be a perfect design.

A Task Facilitator Dec 31 2011

I do a significant amount of baking for a community organization, so I am always interested in a tool that makes my task easier. When I first started to juice an orange, my thought was that a simple reamer was physically easier to use. But then I saw how beautifully the strainer held the seeds and pulp, and the container measured the juice, and I was sold. No more trying to balance a strainer on a measuring cup and hope nothing tips over! Although the product is designed to pour the juice without removing the strainer, I found it worked better to remove the strainer before pouring the juice. I have not tried juicing a lime, but my guess is that the reamer portion is too large to use on a small lime.
