Perfect fit in my Le Creuset 3 1/2 quart round French Oven. I have found that I need to treat my Le Creuset cookware the same as I would non-stick cookware: any metal can scratch it. So I replaced my old metal veggie steamer with this one. As far as it not having a center post, I lost the center post that came with my metal one many years ago, so I could care less!

this product is addictive. You may feel a strong urge to use often. I use daily. I gave one to my 75 year old aunt. She said it was stupid. Now she uses daily. Says it is the most useful thing she has ever had in her kitchen. When she started cooking she didn't have runing water. Figure that. It fits in my 5 1/2 qt Staub and my 1 1/2 qt AllClad. I like to put garlic & stuff in the water to infuse into the vegetables, shrimp, rolls, potatos. Fill a 2 cup plastic container half full of prepared cake mix. Put it in the steamer (no "garlic & stuff" in the water). Cover. Nuke 7 min on medium. Best, most moist cake ever. Little Jiffy Mix is right size.

I bought this as a gift but I have one of my own. I use this almost every day. It's so nice to be able to steam my veggies in the microwave. I just fill a bowl with a little water, put the steamer on top, fill with veggies, shake some molly mc butter on top and 5 minutes in the microwave and it's done!No more excuses for not eating your veggies!
