5.0 out of 5 stars An undergrads dream. Feb. 3 2006
If you're weary of textbooks that take pages to show you mathematical proof and demonstrations only to wind up at the end of the chapter with a few useful formulations, fret no more. This book thoroughly, succinctly presents a rational, easy, diversified study program that's augmented by a cd-rom that contains all the text plus interactive demos and exercises. I've had to 2 metallurgy/materials-science thermodynamics classes for my engineering degree. I own one of the best academia-oriented references (D Gaskell's), but I'm always refering to this much clearer work (Lee's). I've rarely come across such an engaging work for a knotty subject like thermo. Plus, it's super cheap for a reference book. You'll be impressed.

3.0 out of 5 stars Concise, but no answers to excersizes Nov. 14 2012
By Justin
It is great for review if you already know the material reasonably, but it doesn't have enough detail in order to learn the material from the book. I can't find any answers to the exercises given.
