Book Description

The bestselling CHERUB brand takes its huge appeal into a new graphic novel format.

A terrorist doesn't let strangers into her flat because they might be undercover police or intelligence agents, but her children bring their mates home and they run all over the place. The terrorist doesn't know that one of these kids has bugged every room in her house, made copies of all her computer files and stolen her address book. The kid works for CHERUB.

James is a 12-year-old boy from the wrong side of the tracks, sent to a children's home when his mother dies and his stepfather disowns him. But CHERUB is recruiting, and James is pinpointed as having potential. Taken under cover of darkness, he finds himself in a secret location - at the training centre for all CHERUB agents. He faces extreme hardship while preparing for his first mission - to foil a suspected anthrax attack ...

5.0 out of 5 stars CHERUB WARNING 'You WILL Laugh Out Loud'!, Oct 14 2004

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Cherub # 1: The Recruit (Paperback)
Review Written by my son Cullen age 8
This is the second book in the CHERUB series.
CHERUB is not real but boy or girl you will wish that it were true.
CHERUB is very realistic and at the end of the day, who would ever suspect that children could be spying on them?
The characters are very real and down to earth and everyone will be able to connect to them, sympathise with them and laugh with them.
CHERUB is exciting and fast paced you are into the story from the first page right up to the very last page and you will NOT want to put it down.
CHERUB is very funny and should come with a warning on the front cover; WARNING "You WILL Laugh Out Loud"!
There are lots of twists and turns and shocks, as the author Robert Muchamore reveals more information and depth about the main characters.
The subjects covered are very real worldwide worries, from Chemical Warfare to Drug Trafficking, and covers real everyday worries, such as coping with the death of a parent, to asking out a person who you fancy.
Robert Muchamore is definitely in touch with his young fans and is very open and loves to speak with you and get your ideas and views, you can talk to him on his FORUM at www.cherubcampus.com. Robert loves to speak with you and he can be found on the FORUM on a daily basis, you can tell he genuinely enjoys speaking with you.
I can't wait for more action from CHERUB!
Thank you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great start to a series, July 31 2011
This review is from: Cherub # 1: The Recruit (Paperback)
Not since I read Tom Sawyer, Jason Steed, Harry Potter and the boy in stripped PJs have I enjoyed a book like this.

I was surprised by some of the curse words and the boys talking about girls body parts in the book, Maybe the writer is trying to put in that area of the slums of UK area, it works well and no doubt thats how the boys would speak and act, but i'm not sure if it's needed in a novel, we don't have to accept it.
That said it's a great story and I enjoyed it and will read another Cherub book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cherub The recruit, Feb 27 2009
The best of teh Cherub books and the best start. This has been a great series, although Class A put me off a little due to the Drug culture.
Forget Cherub class A and get back to The Recruit : This is a great book, a little far fetched, but it is fiction, plenty of action. Loved it.
