Product Description

Product Description

Chesapeake Crimes 3 is the latest installment of the Agatha- and Anthony-award-winning Chesapeake Crimes series.

"The Chesapeake Bay area is home to strong winds, joys, and fears, where you lock your doors at night in the cities and probably should lock them in the countryside, too, especially after reading this anthology. [It] gave me 15 reasons to wish I had not moved to the Midwest. And for the folks who are still living in this supposedly mild-mannered region, all I can say is, enjoy the weather, but watch your back." -- Sujata Massey

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Read, May 4 2008
By Helen Baker - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Chesapeake Crimes 3 (Paperback)
I thoroughly enjoyed this collection of short stories. It was a great read on a stormy Saturday afternoon-the dark weather enhanced the dark qualities, written ever so light-heartedly, of each story.

I easily placed people I knew into the roles of the characters and was sad when the last story ended.

I enjoyed how clever Mrs. Marshall was in "Compulsive Bubba". I also found the hobby of letterboxing very exciting and have already found a local group near my home town! I look forward to receiving Chesapeake Crimes and Chesapeake Crimes 2. Hope it's not too long a wait for the next collection!

5.0 out of 5 stars These crimes are a great read!, Jun 8 2008
By Stephanie K. Corbitt - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Chesapeake Crimes 3 (Paperback)
What a fun and interesting read! All short stories, all exciting in their own way. A fantastic way to while the afternoon away.

Whether you're a hard-core mystery or crime reader or just looking for a light read, you'll find everything you need in this book. It's fun, it's funny and it's well written.

Since they're all short stories (and all well-written), you don't have to commit to a long read. Catch a story or two when you have a chance. Learn about letterboxing or horses or even Chessie, the Chesapeake Bay monster. It's all here...waiting for your enjoyment!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Collection of Short Stories, Jun 25 2008
By J. R. Stelling - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Chesapeake Crimes 3 (Paperback)
This book is an amalgam of wonderful stories providing suspense and insight to the microcosmic world of the Chesapeake Region of the US. Having visited some of the areas several times for work, the stores brought me back there in all the senses, making the book an extraordinary read. Some stories, like the one by Shelley Shearer, offered up a peak into the world of Letterboxing. Clearly the best in the bunch.
