Every story has already been published in other Chicken soup books. So if you have Chicken soup for Dog lovers and Chicken soup for pet lovers ,you already read about 95 % of the book.If you haven't read these books then it is great and well worth buying.

I have over 100 Chicken Soup for the Soul books. I am more than a collector. I like the uplifting stories. And I become VERY disappointed when I order a NEW book and find half of it (or more!) is stories I have in other books. To my way of thinking, these books should NOT be printed. I don't want the same stuff with a new cover! It is a waste of money AND a waste of space on the bookshelf. There are plenty of NEW stories out there that have yet to be printed. I don't want to read the same old same old! If Chicken Soup doesn't STOP this trick, they are going to find people like myself will be reluctant to buy additional books. I had four Chicken Soup books in this order and two of them were a complete waste of money.

This is the first of three "Chicken Soup" (dogcentric) books I bought through Amazon; and the first one I've finished.It's a very easy read, and for anyone - like me - who is constantly dismayed and depressed at the way animals are used and abused in our society, this collection of individual stories from owners and observers makes uplifting and encouraging reading.
