I would recommended this book, if your at that point in your life when you have weight on and want it off, but just don't know how to do it, or think its just to much work and you don't have time, cause you like me and your job takes up a lot of your life, but it can be done, just 30 mins a day :) Since this book i have lost 6 pounds. Best diet investment ever!

HASH(0x9c7928b8) out of 5 stars Here's how they did it! Jan. 4 2011
By N. B. Kennedy - Published on
Format: Paperback
Nothing is more riveting than a true story. This is especially true when it comes to weight loss. I don't want to hear from the latest diet guru what "should" work... I want to know what DOES work.

This collection of 101 weight loss success stories shows the myriad ways a person can lose weight, get fit and eat healthy. Cooking light at home, eating wisely at restaurants, working out at home, at the gym, outdoors, using DVDs, TV shows, machines, weights, resistance bands, or just strapping on plain old running shoes -- the everyday people in this book succeeded.

Not only are the stories inspirational, but they contain loads of practical tips and specifics on how each writer did it. I especially liked the story from the rabbi who found success on a diet of Heinz vegetarian baked beans! And the woman who lied -- very creatively -- in her very first food journal in seventh grade.

If your New Years resolution is to lose weight, get fit, or just plain live more healthfully, this is a good book for you. You can read just one story a day and it'll take you into April, by which time you'll be a success story yourself!

HASH(0x9c792ac8) out of 5 stars Great book to start off the year! Feb. 10 2011
By Cherise Kachelmuss - Published on
Format: Paperback
I would guess that many people have New Year's resolutions to loose weight or just re-invent yourself. It is a book that has 101 encouraging stories from people who are dieting, exercising, reinventing themselves, and more. They are very quick stories that basically make you realize that if that average-joe can do it then you can do it. The book is a self-help book in a way, if you want to read the stories that way. The forward of the story is even written by Richard Simmons! I liked reading the stories and see different way and motivations that others used. The book is great way to start off the year!

HASH(0x9c7a20e4) out of 5 stars 101 Coaches Cheer Us on for Better Health! Jan. 2 2011
By Josie - Published on
Format: Paperback
I enjoyed the variety, humor, and encouragement of these stories. Richard Simmons kicks it off with his own story of how following his dream also helped him to grasp a healthier lifestyle.

From all ages and experiences, the writers come to give you a thumbs up that you can do it!

Unlike other Chicken Soup books, this one had some substance and WAS NOT a bunch of stories from other books. Well worth the read.
