Being the first of five kids, I was not the only child begging for my moms attention. And throughout my teenage years when I would tell her how much I hate her, I now laugh because I don't even go a day without talking to her! Then when I had my own sons and they started needing me, I realized how great it is to be a mom, even when I have to change poopy diapers and clean up vomit! Moms really are important, great, and know everything! Well this Chicken Soup book is adorable. It made me laugh, cry, think about my mom, and appreciate my kids.
The book is broken down first into sections including: Following in Her Footsteps, Mom Knows Best, Making Sacrifices, Favorite Moments, Mom to the Rescue, What Goes Around Comes Around, One of a Kind, Gifts of the Heart, and My Mother's Legacy. Each section then has personal stories relating to the topic. I love that I can pick up this book anytime and read a section I am looking for guidance or just need at the time. I have also been randomly picking up the book and reading stories, which is especially easy for a busy mom since they are only a few pages long. Some of the stories are exactly what I needed to make myself feel better and laugh.
This book would make a great Mother's Day present or just a present for any special mom in your life!
