Chicken Soup for the Soul has always delivered amazing stories written from people across the world. Chicken Soup for the Soul Tough Times for Teens is no different. This volume consists of 101 stories written about the hardest times of some people lives and how they overcame those obstacles. The stories are rich in emotion and hold nothing back to the reader. This novel is another perfect addition to the Chicken Soup family.

Sometimes we all wonder why? when? and how? We all have the power to do somethings but when we decide to do something we say to ourselves why didn't we do anything back then. I could understand and be on the same page as some of the stories. Pain is always medicated with lots of LOVE...

This book made my 11 year old feel better about life. It made her realize that she isn't alone in the teenage struggle and gave her pointers on how to survive in difficult situations. Would definitely recommend to others.

pathetic Nov. 24 2013

Sad to say but due to the inappropriate / "toxic" comments from two of the girls apparently related to a story in this book, I will NOT be purchasing this book for any teen!~ I am surprised that Amazon allows these comments to remain. Take it outside!

I know they can't do background checks on all the stories and trust what is submitted, but to clarify, the story by Bailey Baer is a lie. While the part about the two girls is correct, the part about "Declan" (such a stupid name) is a lie. He had a girlfriend and a newborn which the girls could not stand. Bailey knew he had a girlfriend and made sure to randomly show up AT THE COLLEGE where she doesn't belong when he knew him and his girlfriend would be there. The girl "Vanessa" lied, set up a computer virus and hacked his computer. They wrote out a bunch of fake IMs and then staged it. In the end, her parents paid off the police and the judge to not say anything (he owns his own company and has thousands to blow. Even her own prosecutor said she was promiscuous. I'm still reading the other stories and they seems great, but I didn't find it fair for that story to be published and for people to not hear both sides. The girlfriend practically lived with her boyfriend and baby's daddy, so there is no way that it was even possible. Besides the fluke that "Vanessa" and "Christa" waited for her not to be there that night so they could come in like they were old friends (who were let in by his roomate, not him). By the way, after he was cheated on by an evil ex of a redhead, he can't stand them. That infants life is destroyed because of this girl. He's almost three now and never stands a chance for a normal existence while she's still out being the same harlot she was before she ever walked into "Declan's" (ugh) life.
