"Chicks" is a rarity in that it gives good, helpful advice to a guy without being silly or condescending. I really realted to most of what the author revealed and now have a guide with which to up my game. Chicks, as he says, can be confusing but they don't have to be a mystery. Now that I have attanined more confidece in this area, I can date chicks and better enjoy myself. A must read for any guy who wants a better dating life, that's for sure.

Not worth reading.
There's hardly anything worth reading in 'Chicks' which is really just the same as Dan Albright's other book 'How to Meet and Pick Up Women'. It reads like the author is a father trying to educate his dim witted son. I found there to be far too many generalizations about women that the author goes on about for a page, only to say that women are all different and won't always fall into the 2 categories given. If you know women are all different, you've pretty much read the book. If you want to learn something useful, or actually have an enjoyable read, try 'The Game' by Neil Strauss.

A short guide for the well meaning but somewhat clueless Feb. 2 2010
By Warren Marts - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This is the book I wish I had when I got out of college and into the big city real world. It talks about flirting, dating and moving from dates toward sex.

I was at a small college with a large group of friends, so I didn't really learn the "Conventions of Dating" - this book puts them out there in a straight-forward, occasionally humorous way. It's definitely *not* a "Win Women in 60 Seconds" type of thing, and it's really quite respectful towards women. Some women could glean good bits from this book too.

It breaks out of the mold that "nice guys don't get girls, so be an a**hole" - you should be nice but know the game and move the dance forward.

Mostly common sense, don't waste your money. July 23 2008

I bought this book hoping that it would give me deeper insight into women and dating. No such luck. Most of it is either common sense, or stuff you could figure out by yourself. A book which I believe to be more useful is "The Guy's Guide to Romance: The 11 Rules for Finding a Woman and Making Her Happy." Also, general self help books like "Instant Rapport" or "How to Talk to Anyone: 92 Little Tricks for Big Success in Relationships" are useful in enabling you to put your best foot forward when dealing with people, including women.
