Chloe Coscarelli recently took home first place in the Food Network’s Cupcake Wars, making her the first vegan ever to win on a Food Network competition. Chloe is a graduate of the Natural Gourmet Institute of Health and Culinary Arts NYC, the University of California, Berkeley, as well as Cornell University’s Plant-Based Nutrition Program. She lives in Los Angeles.

Excellent in every way. Full colour photos for nearly every recipe. No obscure ingredients. Inspiring ideas. Recipes turn out perfect. Our favourites: mac and cheese, avocado pasta and the molten lava cake. Anyone would love this cookbook, not just vegans or vegetarians. This would make a beautiful gift.

I have been a vegetarian for a year now and decided recently to take the plunge and move to a plant-based diet. Eggs and cheese occurred regularly in my meals so I knew I needed to look for professional help to make the transition. I am so glad I picked Chloe's Kitchen, easy to follow and easy to create with a great index. I'm not much of a baker but I've made her cupcakes and cookies and they have turned out fabulously which really surprised me. I loved making the burgers and pizza which were a HUGE hit in my family. Plus her Mango Masala Panini - DELICIOUS. Lots of the recipes took me little time to make while others took over an hour but WOW they tasted superb. Well worth the time in the kitchen. I have a toddler that easily scarfs down all my meals which really makes me feel good as a young mom that I'm feeding him healthy vegan meals! I also bought Appetite for Reduction by Isa Chandra Moskowitz which has less fat and I feel more healthier consuming but Chloe's cookbook steals my tastebuds by all the comfort food she creates. If I could sum it all up one word it. "YUM"

I am AMAZED with Chloe's cooking. I knew she can make the best cupcakes, but I had no clue that she can come up with such easy to make, DELICIOUS food! My boyfriend and I are actually fighting over Brussels sprouts, can you believe it? We've only had this cookbook for a month, and I've used it more than any other cookbook.

Seriously, just buy it. You won't regret it. :-)

I bought this book as I was cooking for my niece all summer (she just gave birth to twins) and I not being a vegan, didn't know where to start. After using Chloe's book and tasting the creations made for my niece, I have made the decision to become vegan myself! I am feeling great and enjoying the new cooking experience. Chloe's Kitchen has amazing hints and every recipe so far has been terrific.

This book was highly recommended to me by a very dear friend to aid me on my journey to veganism. The recipes are very easy to follow, and the fact that almost all are accompanied by photos gives less-experiences cooks such as myself a fairly good idea of what I'm aiming for re: final product! I highly recommend this book for novice and intermediate vegan cooks - it's vegan cooking... simplified!
PS: I can absolutely understand why her Vegan cupcakes took top honors on Cupcake Wars!
