Review
From beginning to end, "Choose The Right Mate, Lover or Friend" is a sincere and entertaining work that imparts information simplistically and enjoyably. The book primarily addresses the lay person who, without prior knowledge, can begin to explore personalities and discern characteristics that are compatible or in conflict with those of another person through handwriting. The author's technique of giving the reader the opportunity to compare his own handwriting traits to those of well known personalities keeps interest at a high peak and makes analyzing handwriting easier to learn, for the reward of discovering that we have traits similar to those of someone we have always admired is indeed an incentive to continue to the end of the book. There is a considerable amount of information offered in Jess Dines' book. The format is not a step-by-step do it yourself program, but rather a compilation of information made interesting by the frequent display of celebrity handwriting that supports the theorems behind the traits described. "Choose The Right Mate, Lover or Friend" is an enjoyable introduction into the field of handwriting analysis. --
SHIRL SOLOMON, HANDWRITING EXPERT & ANALYSTHaving completed research in handwriting and brain dominance, I generally cringe at "Do It Yourself" handwriting books. However, I was delightfully surprised with your clear, concise approach as you also sprinkled it with the necessary cautions that I especially appreciated. In going beyond the typical introductory level, you provided auxiliary information through an interesting array of celebrity samples. Congratulations for educating the public on the powerful insight available through handwriting in a respectable, but stimulating format! --
JEANETTE FARMER, CERTIFIED HANDWRITING MOVEMENT SPECIALIST & CERTIFIED HANDWRITING EXPERTIt was good to see that you provided instructions (page 9) about how to deal with the writer when taking a sample. Most basic books neglect this vital aspect. The glossary is really helpful. I was particularly pleased that you did not follow the simplistic "trait stroke" approach, but instead, used a combination of factors from which to draw conclusions. You have provided a good overview of graphology that will help the reader identify some of the basic personality characteristics and, hopefully motivate them to seek out a professional to give them a "real" analysis. --
SHEILA R LOWE, C, THE WRITE CHOICEYou have done a masterful job of putting it all together into one book. And your writing samples are excellent. Having searched my files for years to find the right ones, I know what you went through to get the right sample in the correct place. --
