Disappointed/Not a family movie,
By
This review is from: Christmas in Boston (DVD)
Bought this as it said "Family movie" however it is not suitable to watch as a family. As an adult you wouldn't care for it either. I previewed it as a "girl's night" film and all of us were rather unimpressed with the whole film. The couple makes out on the kitchen table and they also have foul language throughout the movie. The characters of the friends are not likable (especially the guy - you just don't want such a scumbag getting any girl) and it leaves you feeling disappointed that this is put out as a Christmas movie. There is a strong lack of real/any emotion in all of the characters and the contrivances in this film are hard to believe. At no time did I ever believe in either of the main characters or the resolution. I was just glad it was over. I do not recommend anyone buy this to watch as a family! Very disappointed in ABC.

Christmas In Boston - Easy going seasonal flick.,
This review is from: Christmas in Boston (DVD)
I first viewed the trailer for Christmas in Boston on another DVD. I am a big collector of Christmas movies and start enjoying them as soon as August. From the trailer I figured this would be a pretty good movie to pull out and watch every Christmas, and that is exactly what it is. I would however categorize this movie as a Romantic Comedy rather than Family. If you liked the trailer, you will like the movie... it is exactly what it appears to be and of course like many romantic comedies... it is predictable.CHRISTMAS IN BOSTON - (SPOLIER ALERT - as noted on the DVD jacket) What started as a sixth-grade pen pal project turns into a topsy-turvy romantic mishap when Gina and Seth... now all grown up... finally decide to meet in person. They have a life long friendship based on letters, but there's one little problem... the photos they exchanged were of their better-looking best friends. As a last-resort solution, they each send their best friends to meet instead, and a convoluted series of comical situations ensue, especially when the magic of Christmas inspires the two friends to fall in love. But soon the truth is revealed and they learn a little lesson about self-confidence and being honest with those we love. Good luck with your movie selections:) Kim

Cute!,

I thought this movie was cute, it was kind of a take on "you have mail". It is what it is, an ABC family Christmas movie. I enjoyed watching it and would watch it again. And this its worth the $10 buy to add to a Christmas movie collection.
