Christmas Lodge isn't your usual, romantic Christmas movie. To begin with, the main character is the Lodge itself, and all human characters are in the story because of their relationship to the Lodge, both in the past and the present. The plot is simple. The acting is only okay, but where this movie shines is in the presentation of good morals and values. Values such as: love between the generations of a family; meeting the needs of others; family love and loyalty; the blessings of preserving special mementoes and memories of the past; faith; and friendship. I would have given this movie 4 stars if the storyline and the character development had been deeper and more believable. As it is, this would be a good family movie.
