About the Author

Roger Priddy left school at 16 with just one qualification—in art. He went to Berkshire College of Art and Design and trained as an illustrator.  His first job in children’s books was working with the publisher Peter Usborne, at Usborne Publishing, and then he worked with Peter Kindersley at Dorling Kindersley, where he spent 16 years. Priddy became Creative Director of DK’s Children’s Division and was Managing Director of the children’s mass market publisher Funfax when it was acquired by DK.

In 2000, he created Priddy Books with John Sargent at St Martin’s Press to create innovative and imaginative titles for children, from first books for babies through early reference titles for older children. Since then, over 30 million copies of Roger's 200 plus books have sold worldwide, with five of his books—My Big Animal, My Big Truck, Happy Baby Words, Happy Baby Colors and Puppy and Friends—each selling over one million copies. He is also the author of Big Board First 100 Words; Big Board Books Colors, ABC, Numbers; and Bright Baby Noisy Monsters. His creativity has been recognized with numerous industry awards. Priddy lives in London with his wife Zena and their four children.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love Priddy Books Aug. 24 2009
By C. Wade
Our one year old son loves this small board book collection. The books are just the perfect size for his hands, and the pictures are large and bright (able to keep his attention). The theme for each little book certainly hits the areas that interest our children. The board pages are quite thick, lending to increased durability. You also can't beat the price on this book set :-)

3.0 out of 5 stars Not good for a gift... July 11 2009
By K. Dosmann - Published on Amazon.com
I purchased this book tray, along with some other books, for a baby shower gift. I was surprised when I received them because the corners of each book in the pack say 97 cents. I would not have chosen this had I known the price was on the front of the books. Just be aware that the picture is deceiving!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for little hands! Jan. 21 2009
By Kristin - Published on Amazon.com
These books are great for little ones! They have very bright and colorful pictures and are the perfect size for little hands. They are also a great price and are the perfect size to have in the diaper bag, car seat or stroller.

2.0 out of 5 stars So So books Jan. 29 2009
By Baltar - Published on Amazon.com
6 out of the 9 books are very good, however the Puppies, Kittens and Dino books are poorly implemented. The Puppies & Kittens books have only random common pet names such as "Spot" or "Toby" associated with different type of breed dogs & Cats, I find this can confuse the child. The Dino book are way too difficult for a child less than 4 year old, some of the type of Dino species I don't even recognized or can pronounce correctly. The remaining books are well done.

Not too big, not too small. These books are perfect for little ones that want to chew or destroy their other books! Also great for toddlers that can turn the pages on their own.
2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed Jan. 4 2014

Cute pictures, but the pages must be pulled apart initially.
Even then, it's difficult for even an adult to turn a single page.
