Under-rated Gem, Mar 9 2002

An excellent swing/bop based set by the former Scott Hamilton sideman. This is probably my favorite session by this under-rated artist, with the "For All We Know" album running a strong second. Chris has a consistently swinging style that to me shows the influence of such diverse bop sylists as Wes Montgomery and Herb Ellis. If you are a fan of small group swing and guitar based bop, you won't want to miss this CD.
