Book Description

Aug. 3 2010 Mortal Instruments (Book 3)
Love is a mortal sin, and the secrets of the past are deadly. Plunge into the third installment in the internationally bestselling Mortal Instruments series and “prepare to be hooked” (Entertainment Weekly).

To save her mother’s life, Clary must travel to the City of Glass, the ancestral home of the Shadowhunters—never mind that entering the city without permission is against the Law, and breaking the Law could mean death. To make things worse, she learns that Jace does not want her there, and Simon has been thrown in prison by the Shadowhunters, who are deeply suspicious of a vampire who can withstand sunlight.

As Clary uncovers more about her family’s past, she finds an ally in mysterious Shadowhunter Sebastian. With Valentine mustering the full force of his power to destroy all Shadowhunters forever, their only chance to defeat him is to fight alongside their eternal enemies. But can Downworlders and Shadowhunters put aside their hatred to work together? While Jace realizes exactly how much he’s willing to risk for Clary, can she harness her newfound powers to help save the Glass City—whatever the cost?

Love is a mortal sin and the secrets of the past prove deadly as Clary and Jace face down Valentine in the third installment of bestselling series the Mortal Instruments.

Includes an exclusive sneak peek of the fourth book in the Mortal Instruments series: City of Fallen Angels! And don't miss the teaser from Clockwork Angel, the first book in the Infernal Devices trilogy, the prequel to the Mortal Instruments series.

The book started continuing from book 2 so it was very quick to get into. Very hard to put down as it answered some questions and asked a few more. Can't wait to read the next install meant of the series.

I really enjoyed this end to the trilogy. If you've read the first 2 books, you'll definitely want to read this one as it sums up everything quite well.

5.0 out of 5 stars What an excellent Series of Books! Sept. 30 2013

I have been working my way through this series....and I have to say....I am really enjoying it! I have several more books to go to complete it, but am very pleased to see that each one is as good as the last! I feel like I know the characters very well, and like how each of them is growing and evolving as the saga continues. I know that it is out in a movie format now, but I don't want to see the movie till I have completed the book series. Then you can watch the movie and know what all the characters are thinking once you see the movie! It makes it all more interesting and enjoyable. I am definitely a fan of this series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Exciting as ever Aug. 26 2013

This series is really good. An easy fast read. Exciting so you don't want to stop. The key to these are consistency. All the books have been about the same for me. Fun, exciting and interesting.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good third in a series Aug. 2 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I am really impressed with how this book turned out. I knew the story could be good but with the quality of the first, and the lack of of much happening in the second, I didn't have a lot of hope for it. This one really brought it all together. The characters were better developed, the story had some twists, I couldn't see everything that was coming, and most important - I no longer felt the stories should be renamed "City of Jerks".

This book could have easily ended the story making it a trilogy. I wonder if it was originally meant to be but there were too many loose ends or if there is truly a lot more to come.
