5.0 out of 5 stars Not a read to be overlooked Sep 11 2010
By Midwest Book Review - Published on Amazon.com
Award winning and highly educated, Elyse Fenton brings readers much to enjoy in "Clamor". Discussing today's issues with the war and our place in the world and the need for peace among wars, she shows her love for poetry as well as getting a message out there. "Clamor" is not a read to be overlooked. "Endurance": I used to stand in doorways and know/there was no human way to go on or through.

I purchased this book as a requirement for a poetry class. I am not a big fan of poetry by nature (I prefer the novel form) and find poetry on the whole hard to be memorable. This was not the case with this book. There were a few times where I cringed and quite a few points where I had to put the book down, but this just goes to show how pwoerful of a poet Fenton really is.
