These books are hard cover and a great deal. I think this is the 2nd book in the series of Anne of Green Gables, anyway my parents got my daughter the first book Anne of Green Gables. My daughter loved it and every year she gets the next book in the series in her stocking from Santa. She loves all the Anne of Green Gables books, she probably started reading them when she was about 8 1/2. They are great books.

My 5 year old loves to be read to at night before bed. She has loved the "Classic Starts Series" Anne of Green Gables so getting this sequel was equally as wonderful. They follow the original series pretty well - just remember they are geared for young readers so not ever detail will be in there.

My 7 year old read the Classic Starts version of Anne of Green Gables and loved it, so I got her this one for Christmas. My goodness, she loved it so much she sat and read it in one day!!! Both are abridged versions of the originals (400 pages!). Highly recommended.
