this is the latest in my classic starts book, and the best. it is everything I love! although I thank it has little to do with the hunchback, but he does play a big part, all in all a great book! five stars!

We read this book prior to visiting with my 9 year old daughter. I think it was part of the reason she was so impressed by Notre Dame. The book is accessible for a 9 year old but loses quite a bit of its substance form the original. Overall I am glad we read it

In preparation to our trip to Paris we purchased this child's version of Hugo's classic. Though our children are adolescents they were able to read this in two sittings and they asked for the full version afterward. The abridgment is well done and a quick read. We highly recommend it.
