Many collectors have two dolls that are practically the same that they would like to dress as a matching pair or as twin dolls. Classic Twosomes is the ideal book, with patterns that have been reworked from classic designs of 1900 to the 1950s. It contains patterns for 24 charming outfits - 12 suitable for girl dolls and 12 suitable for boy dolls. The patterns range in size to fit dolls from 18cm (7in) to 41-46cm (16-18in) in height. Many of the patterns are suitable for the beginner, while others offer a little more challenge. Instructions are given in both metric and imperial measurements, as are wool and needle sizes.
About the Author
Marjory Fainges lives in Brisbane and is the author of Classic Knits for Baby Dolls, Classic Knits for Boy Dolls and several reference books on toys. She is a well-known and highly respected doll and toy historian, and for several years ran her own toy museum. She is in great demand worldwide to speak at doll and toy fairs and topical seminars.
