Not really advanced enough for a Medical Laboratory Technology Program. It was a required textbook for the program, but I found it did not go into enough details about certain areas. I had to dig deeper in other Chemistry textbooks to find my answers.

Too many errors Aug. 1 2010
By B. Rawson - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
While this book is fairly easy to read, I stopped reading it about halfway through my class because of the constant errors and typos. It is also inconsistent, which I think is mostly due to the fact that each chapter is written by a different person or group of people. Where one chapter says vasopressin, the next says ADH, and the next AVP. After coming across so many errors I stopped trusting the book. I wouldn't recommend it unless you know enough to spot the errors in the first place, and that kind of defeats the purpose.

Great resource for Clin Chem Feb. 22 2011
By DayLilly - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
Used this book to study for Chemistry ASCP exam. It was a great resource to review. Still use it for reference working in the lab. Also has on-line version that comes with the new edition, so it can be accessed at home and in lab.

Helpful hints for the Medical Chemist Oct. 6 2012
By Narykids - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
I purchased to book to help with medical calculations for the assays that we run. The book does have some help with those calculations, but not many. However there are items that I have had to research a bit in my laboratory about why certain reactions occur, if this is a possilbe reaction and I did find data that was useful. I do believe that it will be helpful on other questions that I have to pose with my job, as Chemistry Manager in my clinical laboratory.
Clinical Chemistry: Techniques, Principles, Correlations (Bishop, Clinical Chemistry) Dec 19 2011

Fantastic clinical chemistry book, written primarily for MT/MLT students, but also a good source for more senior techs and pathologists. Clear, well written text, excellent illustrations. Highly recommended.

It's alright. Language is chewy, simple things are not very well explained, I actually had to search google for a better explanation. Really?
