Clinical Neuroanatomy,
By
This review is from: Clinical Neuroanatomy (Paperback)
the book was only helpful for the course I took sometimes, but this is more a comment about the course itself, (in that most of what they wanted was covered was in the lecture notes). However the book is well written and, for a text book, is priced within reason. As well, Amazon offers text books to students at lower rates than our campus bookstore which is helpful.Delivery (which is a separate issue from the book review, was quite difficult). UPS actually misdelivered the book then sent it to the depot, (we were home but the person I think simply did not show up, there was not an attempt of delivery notice left) - we then went to pick this up and the girl working made a mistake and said it wasn't there, when it was), so we had to get the book re-delivered to my university address. So, I don't recommend UPS as a carrier they made errors at every step on the way. I think Canada post is an easier delivery option for text books since couriers require the recipient to be home, (and they are prone to errors) whereas Canada Post can leave you a note on your door to pick up at a location nearby. Couriers like Fed-ex and UPS, if you're not home the item goes to the depot which is inaccessible without a vehicle. I think Canada post are not on strike anymore so I'd recommend them over fed-ex or UPS - (especially as the latter made so many errors!). another note about the book, I was suprised it didn't come with a CD but I think it offers the same thing as the 2006/07 edition in an online format if you take the course at a pace in which you can utilize it.

Check out the 5th Ed, 4th Ed was terrible,

I'm in the middle of MS-II neuro and the 5th Ed, NOT the 4th, compares favorably with the popular Blumenfled text. I like Snell better because the images are a little simpler and it is more condensed. Clinical correlations at the end of each chapter are good and the questions are great. See what you think at the library first. Enjoi

The only good thing about this book is the clinical sections at the end of every chapter. There are better alternatives....
