Beautiful recording of a beautiful cantata

This is the only available recording of this beautiful piece of music, and it's easy to see why--it would be a tough act to follow for whoever recorded it next. All three singers are wonderful individually but also well selected to go together. The orchestra is conducted very well and the group works well as an ensemble. I'm surprised that it remains so obscure, because it is among the best recordings of Baroque vocal music I've heard. Lorraine Hunt-Lieberson was peerless.

I absolutely agree with previous review. I use this recording to test out speakers, and found only B&W to show mid-range and high voices floating, while others tend to lose them. Track 6 by Lorraine Hunt is just amazing virtuoso, same as tracks 12,27 by Drew Minter.
