MUCH better than the biography by Jonza, May 6 2012

This review is from: Close Connections: Caroline Gordon and the Southern Renaissance (Paperback)
Caroline Gordon and her (ex-) husband Allen Tate have been almost forgotten,
but they were at the center of some of the most fascinating literary movements
of the early 20th century -- the Fugitive poets, the Soutern agrarians, and the
Catholic literary revival. This biography, which locates Caroline Gordon at
the heart of the American Southern Literary Renaissance, brings her and the circle
of her family and friends to life. While the style is occasionally breezy,
it does more than any other biography to remind us that her writing -- as well
as Tate's -- is most deserving of closer study.
