It works alright, but randomly turns off! Or when I skip a song it shuts down.
A little disappointing, but for the money, it will work.

This thing sucks. From the software to the construction to everything... the only good part is the micro to usb adapter. I am using it for other things right now. The metal keychain shown in the picture is a lie and it is on a cheap piece of string with a keyclip.

MP3 wise it sucks as a cheap player. No shuffle option, song skip doesnt always work and changing the playlists via the software is painful. I know its a cheap player... and the only reason i bought it is for a helmet mod.

Not worth buying, even at a low price. Its very cheap, but its cheap because it sucks, not because you are getting a sweet deal.

DO NOT BUY!

5.0 out of 5 stars The last mp3 I'll ever need. Sep 9 2012

This is the second Coby MP3 player of this kind that I've bought. The first one still works but its over 5 years old and only 256MB. I bought this one to upgrade in terms of capacity (2GB). Why do I love this player so much, its simple, and simple is literally all I need. I use this device while I ride my NINJA I place it in my jeans or in my vest's front pocket and I control it by touch whithout looking at it (I got to pay attention to the road). I don't need a screen to look at I just need buttons that stick out. I carry with me an extra battery or two (rechargeables) and I don't need to worry about running out of juice... ever. I can't say anything about durability on this model since I've only had it a few days. So far it has met my expectations. The only issue I had with the 256MB model was that it shut itself off, I fixed it by stretching a little the battery spring (it had lost tension over the years and the battery lost contact under periods of stress like tapping, running or jumping) it works fine now.
About the software I brings I don't use it, I stored it in my back up disk. I simply transfer the files directly (like I have always done with the previous model).
