This book is a concise and intelligent study of the information and terms which surround this complex issue - global warming. The topic is explored and laid out for the reader without blame or bias in an easy to read format and furthermore, the book is organized so that one can quickly refer back to a particular topic or interesting fact. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is trying to navigate their way through the ever-growing and constant stream of opinions and discussions on global warming and climate change.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book!, Sep 2 2008
By Ken Macallister - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Cocktail Party Guide to Global Warming: Everything You Need to Know to Converse Intelligently about Global Warming in Any Social Situation (Paperback)
Just finished reading the Cocktail Party Guide to Global Warming and really enjoyed the way the book is laid out and the fact that the language is really simple and to the point. Saliken manages to boil everything down to the basics and present the issue in a way that makes it easy to converse intelligently with anyone on the subject. There are many books on the subject of global warming and climate change, but most are either too academic and dense or they are not based on scientific fact but conjecture (such as those from the climate change denier camp), or they are really alarmist. This book manages to present the facts as we know them without editorial, and do it in a nice compact form.

You can read this book in a couple of days, and it is well worth it.
