Not What I thought It was,

I have carefully given this book a neutral review. I purchased this book while researching a paper on how psychics and mediums perform their art. This method is often called "cold reading." This book was recommended by Amazon when I purchased other similar books. However, this book is an instructional for actors who are going to auditions. If you are an actor, this book may be wonderful, please use your own judgement. If you are looking for a book relating to mind-reading, mentalism, Tarot, etc. this book is not for you.

Excellent book for a much needed skill,

According to a lot of casting directors, cold reading is one of the areas that almost ever actor needs work in. This book is an excellent tool for improving your cold reading skills. I greatly recommend it for any actor.(If you are not an actor this book is not for you, so if for some reason you bought it by mistake, please don't post a review for a subject you know nothing about).

Expensive for a thin book,

When I bought Basil Hoffman's 2nd book, Acting and how to be good at it, i thought well this book should be just as good and just as thick. Well I found out, when I received the book in the mail, the book was so thin, barely 50 pages.I guess the content is what counts in the end, the quality not the quantity. I read this to become a better actor, not a psychological student.
