Coleman Cable 03588 10/3 50-Foot SJEO Polar/Solar Plus Tri-Source Three-Way Power Blocks

This cord has all the ideal features; good length (50 feet), triple receptacle on the end, and lighted end. And it's 10 gauge cable which makes it very heavy duty.

I use this cord for some load balancing in my circa 1970's flat. The outlet nearest the master bedroom window shares the circuit with another bedroom, making it impractical to have A/C in both rooms without an extension cord. Most airconditioners have a warning not to use extension cords due to the voltage drop across thinner (larger gauge) wire. This extension cord is definitely over specced, resulting in almost no voltage loss even when pulling full current. Plus its heavy enough to use as a medieval weapon in case of home intrusion - I think the 50' weighs around 25 lbs. So far using this cord plugged in close to where my breaker is, I see far less voltage drop when the A/C starts up - I suspect that it is significantly better than the romex in the walls. Another nifty feature is the heavy duty construction (its about 3/4" on the outer diameter) allows you to almost mold it in place and have it stick. We have it routed over our bedroom door jamb and don't need to use cable ties or cable guides to hold it in place - its heavy enough and resistant enough to bending that it just stays in place. Works great for our purpose (A/C extension cord)

I received the well packed coleman 03588 cable in good condition from Amazon. It is a 50 foot, 10/3 cable with a standard 115vac plug on one end and tri-source on the other. There is an an LED power indicator light on the trisource plug end. I needed a lower resistance 10/3 cable (as compared to 12/3 or 16/3)to power a 115 volt mig welder as recommended by the equipment manufacturer. I wanted a cable that provided a standard 15 amp plug instead of the 20 amp version of plug that most 10/3 cables are fitted with. This product has met my needs.
