1.0 out of 5 stars Don't bother Sept. 19 2008

If I could give it a negative star, I would. I had to repair this pump before I could even use it the first time. And the second time, forget it. The metal bands can't be tightened enough to prevent air leaking out around them. Poorly made.

1.0 out of 5 stars Pretty bad..... Dec 13 2008

I bought this last summer to keep on our boat. Unfortunately, we didn't try it out until after the 30 day return period had already passed. We tried to blow up a large tube with it, and after 10 minutes there was barely no air in it at all. Our boating friends tossed their powered pump across the water to us, and in just a couple of minutes, the tube inflated properly.

I guess we'll give this one more try next summer when boating season starts. If it's as bad as before, it's going in the trash.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Quality Dec 19 2012

This is a good pump for replacing your old dinghy pump. I have an Achilles 10 foot inflatable boat. I use this to bring the boat up to pressure. I usually inflate it mostly with a cheap inflatable toy electric pump and use this to top it off and bring to required pressure.
It has a good volume for this type of use and seems to be built well.

3.0 out of 5 stars Revised My Review March 27 2009

This Coleman pump is priced lower than what appears to be the exact same product in other brands. Go with this one, it's a nice little pump. I bought it for blowing up my inflatable kayak, and it works great.

Addendum:
So this isn't such a great bargain, because the little plastic tabs that hold the hose onto the pump broke, so now the hose falls out when operating this pump. It's still what I would consider a decent pump, but if you're going to use it a lot, you might want to pay a little more and get one that's sturdier/better made.
