About the Author
Julie Nutting is a mixed-media artist with a degree in fashion design. Her work has been featured in several issues of Somerset Studio, including the cover of the winter 2008 issue of Somerset Studio Gallery and the September 2009 issue, featuring her work in a 5-page spread showcasing "pink" art inspired by breast cancer awareness. Julie currently teaches workshops at the Fontana Art Center and has been selling her work through Etsy for over a year.

The content is really charming. Not too many new techniques though. It did give me the desire to create my own girls and dress them on my journals and cavas. It is a good inspiration book.

I purchased this book for my teen nieces who spend art days with me, and they really enjoyed the designs and came up with their own ideas too. As a mixed media artist , I would say this is an excellent book for young girls and adults too, full of detailed instructions for backgrounds and designing the models clothes. Lots of fun...

I just picked this book up after flipping through it in the bookstore and I have to say I love it. There are so many great ideas but they are laid out in such a way that even a newbie to art such as myself can take the ideas and create something pretty. I would highly recommend this book.
