If you are looking for a collection of Uriah Heep songs that define their best sound from 1970-1983, I would recommend this album. I decided on "The Collection" which includes various tracks from 1970-1983. The album cover consists of this weird looking narrow faced dude carrying a very pretty woman that is either asleep, knocked out, or dead. In the background there are two birds flying and the sky has a yellowish tint. This album includes classics such as "Gypsy," "July Morning," "Look At Yourself," and "Easy Living." So what makes this different from any other "Best of" Uriah Heep Album? Well, somehow they chose the best of their more rare tracks. Their album "Firefly" wasn't over all that great, except for two songs "Firefly" and "Been Away Too Long" which are my favorite Uriah Heep songs of all time and they are the ones that are included on "The Collection." Some of their best 80s songs such as "Love Is Blind," and "On the Rebound" are also included. Fortunately this album doesn't include anything after 1983 on it since I consider "Head First" to be the last decent Heep album released. If you're interested in what Uriah Heep sound like and want a good diverse album to listen too this would be the album I suggest.
