Two CD pressing of this live release from the British Prog/Art rockers. Riding high on the success of their 1996 album Signify, the band embarked on an extensive European tour. Three gigs in Rome from this tour were captured in stunning digital clarity to make up their first official live album, Coma Divine. This special edition contains bonus tracks not included on the original 1997 release, including 'Radioactive Toy' and 'Up The Downstair' along with the pick of the band's first four albums. If you are a new PT listener, already have the previous release or new to the PT universe, you must get this album! It is one of the best live "rock" albums ever and the remastering and extra tracks along with new case artwork help it surpass its already impressive former incarnation. I have both editions and am not sorry I bought the re-release. No sir/mam, not one bit.

"Coma divine" is a good step into Porcupine Tree music if you haven't heard them yet.within the huge appearance of "Signify" album tracks here (concert was promoting this album) other important tracks are performed greatly.gorgeous "the Sky moves sideways","Not beautifull anymore","Dislocated day" and their first big hit "Radioactive toy" are shining along other songs.This live album is maybe not something really original - the songs are mostly played the same like the album versions (with few diferences like shortened version of "Sky moves sideways" and bass intro on "Dislocated day"). happily the sound is crystal clear - pure pleasure to the ears.Steven Wilson's guitar seem to flow just out of your speakers. What can i say - it is fine live album,performances are very good and it is a worthy addition to your collection.but if you got some other Porcuipne Tree's albums like "Signify" or "sky moves sideways","Coma divine" will be not as necesarry to buy.anyway if you want to hear how Wilson's badn plays live here they are.

Like all the other reviewers here, I think this is one fine live album. Apart from the melodies - which are reminscent of Pink Floyd - the quality of the sound recording is an added bonus. The guitar work is exemplary, the bass is crystal clear and the drums have the necessary "bite" to hold your attention despite the tracks sometimes extending into 10-12 minutes. A great album by a band worth watching.
