Product Description

From Amazon.com

Alpha--Corin Dingley and Andy Jenks--are among the best of the trip-hop generation. Signed to Massive Attack's Melankolic label, their debut owes debts to Scott Walker, Burt Bacharach, and John Martyn, weaving shreds and swatches into something new. Yes, it is downbeat, the kind of music for long, lonely nights, but it is absolutely perfect for those nights. Guest vocalists help out as Dingley and Jenks manipulate the sounds and the strings, fill it all out beautifully. Crafted and inspired, one of '97's standouts. --Chris Nickson

5.0 out of 5 stars Music from heaven?, Feb 18 2002
By
JACKIE THOMAS (hudson, NY United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Come from Heaven (Audio CD)
In 1999 I order one dozen of this cd and send them to my good friends for xmas, today we still find something to say about this album. if there was a recording studio in heaven the music would've sounded just like "come from heaven".this recording is living testimony that in the world of structural and sampling music you still have endless room for creativity. Buy this cd put on your favored headphones and soon you will be traveling thru a vast sonic lanscape, always discrete, melancholic but not to let you down or felling sad and alone, in did, there is a touch of hope in every one of this wonderfully executed lircys.

2.0 out of 5 stars Looking for the song from "My Life Without Me?", May 18 2004
This review is from: Come from Heaven (Audio CD)
FYI - My Life Without Me has no soundtrack available. But imdb.com gave me enough info to at least pin down this song. "Sometime later" from this album is what's playing at the end credits of My Life Without Me. (And the song playing in the car when Lee and Ann kiss is "Senza Fine", I forget the artist.)
