Product Description

When Lillian's husband learns he's the cause of their infertility, he's gone before morning. Lillie does what any self-respecting woman would do, she turns to Ben and Jerry's and refuses to leave the house. Eventually, she has to venture out to replenish her supply of Phish Food, and runs into her mother-in-law, struggling with the care of her special needs niece.

Ashamed by her self-indulgent behavior, Lillie finds strength she didn't know she had to create the family she'd always wanted. Later when Jonathan returns, Lillie hopes to find the closure she lacked from his speedy departure. But instead, he needs a favor and Lillie's the only one who can help. She knows the best thing to do is to forget the past and put her crumbled marriage behind her...or is it?

Sometimes coming home, isn't to a place on the map...but a place in your heart.

5.0 out of 5 stars Coming Home Always Feels Right April 18 2011
By midwestreader - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Just finished reading Coming Home by Julie Sellers and had to encourage others to download it, too! This women's fiction introduces you to a protagonist any woman could identify with. The author shows you Lillie's strength, her kids, her humor, and then her problems. She is a three dimensional character, and you really feel the heartbreak and discouragement she's overcome.

Jon, and why he ever left a woman like Lillie, is a mystery at first. But he is a heart-wrenchingly sensitive man who tore out his own soul to try to make Lillie happy. There is a full cast of very visible characters I enjoyed, and one surprising dose of reality after the next throughout the story.

I felt completely immersed in the world this writer created. I love that Julie Sellers took the time to flesh out her characters and make every-day life seem special. The engaging style, details, and emotions make Lillie and Jon palpable. They came to life on the page and made me root for them, cry for them, and rejoice with them. Highly recommended!

Julie Sellers has written a heartwarming, memorable story with characters who stay with you long after you finish the book. Women can relate to Lillie's challenges, and her heartbreak, and cheer for her as she works to redefine home and family. I enjoyed it thoroughly and am looking forward to the next book in the series!
