This is the book that gave me the courage to get into Commercial Real Estate Investing. Fair warning...it is dense and not a pool side read but the author never intended it to be. Though we have an apartment building under our belt, I still refer to this book from time to time. This one is a keeper.

The Boirons' book is a comprehensive and thorough reference book for anyone who wants to cover all the bases in commercial real estate. It is well organized, packed with useful information but, in my view, is best used as a reference work rather than an introduction to the field. It is a very worthwhile book for anyone interested in investing in commercial real estate and outlines the many pitfalls that an unwary investor might stumble into. I found that I was unable to read it from cover to cover (although I tried), and found that I could look into specific issues and topics as they arose. The chapters are essentially self contained treatises, so it is not always necessary to have read previous chapters. I expect that the book would also be quite useful for those interested in purchasing real estate in the United States or elsewhere because the topics and issues would be similar. I highly recommend this book, it is the best I've yet read on the topic.

This is the ultimate guide to investing in Canadian Commercial Real Estate Investing. They provide real life examples and have the ultimate low money down & lease option purchase strategies that the novice investors are looking for. I highly recommend this book!

The Boirons cover all aspects of commercial real estate investment in the Canadian market in a comprehensive, understandable, readable way. The walk you thru the process of decision making and selecting properties, making offers and understanding some of the less common problems that arise for investors in these properties. This book is worth its weight in gold!
