I bought the Curtis DVD6655 player with hesitation, this is a very nice product and am very pleased with what I got for the price. The hdmi is very clear and is way nicer than the traditional standard dvd players. Overall this was a great product at a great price and I would encourage anybody who wants to save a little money to buy this player!

The HDMI only works when the component cables are hooked up and the movie has started. Once that has happened you can then switch to HDMI during playback. Great if you only want the player for component set up to complicated for HDMI use.

My TV ran out of ports. I didn't want to buy a blueray player, as all I have was DVD's, but hooking up an oldschool dvd player wasn't an option; I didn't have any ports left except for HDMI. This hooked in nicely, and upscales well. Well worth the price of admission!
Warning: the eject is slow. So's the powering on. Until I learned to relax, I thought it was broken. Takes a full 5 seconds to turn on, and to start the eject process. Be patient, and it's a great device.
