I purchased this item as a safety light for kayaking and sailing. My intention was to upgrade a 30 year old D-battery powered incandescent light that has been on my pfd forever.Problems with the See Me LED Safety Light.
1. The light has a very low intensity single LED with a Yellow lens. I don't see it as much use for a night rescue.
2. The light, which is supposed to automatically activate when immersed in water, was defective. It would not turn on. Question: Can you ever trust another piece of safety gear after receiving a defective item? At under $13.00 I may toss it in the trash rather than returning.
I do not recommend this product.
