Many people store food in refrigerators and clean clothes in washing machines. But long ago, these tools didn't exist. Big blocks of ice kept food cold. And people scrubbed clothes on long, bumpy boards. What other household tools have changed over time? Read this book to find out!

Learn how daily life has changed over time in the Comparing Past and Present series--part of the Lightning Bolt Books (tm) collection. With high-energy designs, exciting photos, and fun text, Lightning Bolt Books (tm) bring nonfiction topics to life!

4.0 out of 5 stars OK for a kids' book March 19 2014

Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I guess I wasn't that clear from the product description that it WAS a kids' book. I'd put the reading level at about six to eight years old. Might be nice for someone of that age, just wasn't what I expected.
