Battery advertised: 7.4V, 3400mAH, 25.1Wh.
Battery received: 7.2V, 3000maH, 21.6Wh.
I ordered this for the canon vixia hf s10, which requires 7.4V. Reports indicate that a 7.2V will work (I don't know much about batteries, decided to do some research) and that pending on the type of 3.6V cells they use, 7.2 and 7.4 are nearly identical. There may be some voltage connection problems as the battery begins to drain, thus potentially leaving you with a half charged battery that will no longer power your camcorder; usually depending on the quality cells they use. There's some more stuff about nominal voltages, etc. ...again, not a battery guy; but you guess you're paying $30 for a battery that's $150 on newegg. I wouldn't predict the highest quality cells and I will not run the risk of a battery crapping out on me due to connection failure from improper voltage.
Looks like a good strong battery, even the back connectors are on par with those of a genuine Canon brand battery. Still, I urge you to check your batteries and make sure they're the same as advertised. There's tons of sellers on here giving out these knock off brand decoded batteries, not saying they're all bad, just urging ppl to be careful. By the time I received my order and came back to write this review, the seller had changed.
***EDIT*** See my comments below as to why I changed my rating on this battery. It's a much better purchase than originally thought. ***EDIT***
