LOVE IT! But book 0 is a bit of a let down, Dekker why did you have to go for a money grab rather than something innovative like the 3 others?!

I read the first three books of this series as a librarian. I found the plot twists and turns so fascinating that I had to buy my own set, so I could look back to refresh my memory. With all the backs and forths of rereading, I must have read each book at least 3 or 4 times. I found the Circle books so well written that I bought the rest of Ted Dekker's books for the library, and eventually for myself.

When Green was published last year, I preordered a copy. By this time, both of my daughters had read the first three, and we had quite a tug of war as the three of us raced to reread the first 3 before Green came. My eldest won - she finished the other three before Green was delivered, so she got to read it first. It was an agonizing wait for her while I finished White,and then read Green, because she wanted someone to discuss Green with (besides Ted Dekker's web site, which she has found to be "totally random"- I'm pretty sure that means "good.") Eventually I finished reading Green, so we could discuss the whole circle concept. I used to think Dekker was an excellent writer, now I think he is a genius! I won't give away the ending, but Dekker skillfully wove book zero into the series to be both prequel and sequel; and the chain link that completes the circle.

Now we have a problem. Both of my daughters share my love for collecting books as well as reading them. When Amazon came out with this boxed set of all 4 books, I bought a set for myself, but my girls had to draw straws over who gets to keep my old set in her bedroom. It's not a bad problem for a former teacher/librarian to see my own kids reading excellent books.

I was a fan of the circle trilogy while it was still a trilogy but having the 4th book to complete the circle was truly a unique experience for me. One of my favourite series!
