From Booklist
The author of
The Pond Doctor begins with a chapter on pond construction basics and continues with chapters on preformed (usually made of strong plastics), lined, concrete, raised and semiraised, and earth ponds; waterfall and stream construction; pond edgings; pumps and filtration; and such other water features as fountains, stepping-stones, bridges, and islands. There are color photographs and drawings throughout, and also a list of water garden plants. Nash aims the book at amateur builders, but beware; many of these projects, especially the larger ponds, will not be easy.
