Its a nice book that gives a lot of details on how to sail a sail boat but as the title is the complete sailing manual.. i find this book too much on racing sailing, i wish he would have puted more information on general sailing

But in all, its a great book.. nices pictures and drawings

im not an expert but there is my opinion

"This is a great all around beginning to intermediate sailing reference. It is beautifully illustrated and layed out in the manner of your favorite textbook. Clear, concise, and not dry.

A fantastic book, very useful for basic knowledge of every kind of sailing and aspects you should consider before going afloat, very handy for experienced sailors too.

I've long enjoyed this resource- solid information, clearly presented, and lavishly illustrated with good photos, charts, and diagrams.

If you are a beginner, you will enjoy the easy to read and understand info that covers a great breadth of sailing know-how. Experienced folks will still mine nuggets of info that are beneficial.
