Highly Recommended April 24 2014
By Consultant - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
This is a remarkably thorough reference to every aspect of physical and information security. There are 75 chapters and 2,224 pages of explanation and examples. It is not about security products or services and is devoid of commercial affiliation. Instead, the CSH6 explains how good security can be planned, calculated, implemented and maintained. Here is what management needs to know to validate their own security and explain to stakeholders that good security is in place.

Many of the contributors are leading experts and together offer a wide range of experience. The book is also is well edited. There are numerous links to other chapters for explanation and many citations and references for additional reading. (Disclaimer: I contributed two of the chapters, so I do not comment on my own work. Nevertheless, as a well-seasoned security professional, I can recommend the other chapters very highly.)

This book is necessary reference for anyone responsible for or involved in security, risk management, information assurance or crisis response and recovery. Past editions were the only text for graduate degree programs.
