Great product,

This review is from: Conair GMT900C i-Stubble Trimmer (Kitchen)
Had been researching this trimmer for a while and happy to see it available on Amazon. Quite simply, this is a solid trimmer that does exactly what it is suppose to. Maintaining even stubble all over your face at various lengths and prevents you from making mistakes. It can actually be quite addictive once you get going! Great battery power, fits nice in the hand, comes with cleaning brush and blade oil. Check out online video reviews and demo's using "istubble" as the keyword as this trimmer is sold under different names in Europe.

A well made and useful beard trimmer,

This review is from: Conair GMT900C i-Stubble Trimmer (Kitchen)
For the last several months I've been looking for a decent beard trimmer so that I could avoid shaving in order to keep my facial hair in order. This i-Stubble trimmer does that for me and now I don't have to deal with the annoyance of cutting myself with a razor blade because of my poor shaving technique. Also I prefer to deal with my beard and mustache only once every couple of weeks, so shaving ends up becoming a task I keep putting off to a later date because of the amount of time I fear it will take. The i-Stubble is not without it's flaws though, but I find these shortcomings to be minor compared to its benefits.Pros: - Cordless option eliminates hassle of wrestling with a cord near your bathroom sink - Haven't had any cuts so far because the blade and guard work quite well together - Floating head is very, very helpful in guiding the trimmer along the contours of your face and neck - Found I was finished trimming in a few minutes even though I only deal with my beard & mustache every couple of weeks Cons: - Motor noise is louder than my battery powered shaver (Gillete Fusion) but I suppose that is expected if you consider the size of the trimmer - Need to charge for at least 16 hours prior to first use - Takes about 1 to 3 minutes to clean after every use for those that trim quite a bit of facial hair (like me) - Trimmer is actually larger than it looks online but still manageable with my small hands - Need to trim over a sink so that hairs are caught and even then some hairs still fall onto the hand that is holding the trimmer - Trimming the mustache can take some time compared to the beard even with the guard removed Notes: - Uses nickel metal-hydride (Ni-MH) battery technology - Not sure what the difference between the Canadian (gmt900c) and American (gmt900r) version are Overall, I'm quite happy I took the plunge with this beard trimmer. When looking at other beard trimmers, I don't recall ever seeing one with a floating head like this one which I'm finding to be extremely useful. If, like me, you're not all that interested completely shaving off your facial hair due to laziness :) then this is a viable option.

Don Johnson would be proud! I-Stubble Facial Hair Trimmer For Men: A Critical Review.,
By
This review is from: Conair GMT900C i-Stubble Trimmer (Kitchen)
* About the product** Inspection and Use *** 4 stars or 5? Conclusion * It's funny how Steve Jobs has influenced our lives! From renaming a portable computer to products that bear the "I" prefix, you can't go anywhere without someone paying homage to his genius. "i-Stubble" is a trendy name for a battery/ electrical charged facial hair trimmer. Although it is marketed here in the US as a "Conair For Men" product, it is actually just product that's leased to Conair and to several companies around the world. In the UK, the product is called, "i-Stubble by BaByliss For Men" and has been on the market for about a year now. ** Nevertheless, this is both a handsome and functional device. The i-Stubble is light-weight, maybe about 2 lbs and it comes fully charged. There's an AC adapter included as well as a cleaning brush and blade fluid. The main retractable blade is surrounded by a dual-guard that sits on a pivot-head. I normally wear a "modern" goatee, so I had to let the hairs on cheeks grow out a bit to see how well the product would perform and it worked amazingly well. If you're working with two different areas of growth, it might be good to start off with the closest-shave area with the lowest number, i.e., (.4mm). And, with the thicker growth start with the highest, which is 5mm, and adjust as needed. The digital display makes it very easy to remember what is the ideal cutting length. Trimming my cough...cough...grey beard...cough was painless. I've used trimmers that literally pulled and yanked the hair from my face. Ouch! So, I resolved some years ago just to use my regular clippers and a disposal razor. This seems to bridge the two. Clean-up was fairly simple. There's a small latch in the front of the guard that when unhooked gives you full access the blades and the screws that hold it in place. *** The cost. This is a product that works very well. It's nicely designed and should last for several years with good care. However, $50 seems to be a tad bit expensive for ANY beard trimmer. Considering the quality, and the dozens of different models you can find online or in Target, I'd say a good price would be about $25- $30. So, 4 stars if you see it at $50...5 for around $30!
