I bought one and the plastic cumb, over the blade broke.
(It's a very fragile part)
I tried to order the part for this model, but Conair doesn't cary parts for it.
In order to get it fixed, under warranty (3years), you need to send it out and Pay for in and out shipping.
This will cost approx. 30$ for an appliance that costs approx. 65$...
Out of warranty, you will also pay for labor.

For the last several months I've been looking for a decent beard trimmer so that I could avoid shaving in order to keep my facial hair in order. This i-Stubble trimmer does that for me and now I don't have to deal with the annoyance of cutting myself with a razor blade because of my poor shaving technique. Also I prefer to deal with my beard and mustache only once every couple of weeks, so shaving ends up becoming a task I keep putting off to a later date because of the amount of time I fear it will take. The i-Stubble is not without it's flaws though, but I find these shortcomings to be minor compared to its benefits.Read more ›

The i-Stubble is a great product with a couple issues. My neck is crazy sensitive and when I used a blade razor (Mach 3) my neck would break out in a horrible rash with the odd ingrown hair. Also, I'm pretty much bald so I shave my head, but when I used a blade razor they'd get dull in about 2 shaves, which is expensive with the blades pretty much $5 each. I got the I-stubble for x-mas and I love it. You can set different trim lengths, so I use the longest level for my goatee, and the shortest everywhere else on my head. At the short level it cuts very close, so it just looks like a 1 or 2 day shadow.

Here are my issues, with only one being a real drawback. It's a rechargeable razor, but it doesn't have protection for when you keep it plugged in between shaves, so now it's no longer rechargeable. So, in less than 2 months the battery was toast (I should have known Conair wouldn't make a razor that didn't have some issues, but most of their products are in the $10-20 range). The only other issue I have with it is that there is no sort of case, which I hate when taking it anywhere. The floating head needs some sort of hard protection.

All-in-all this is a great unit, which I have told friends

After spending nearly two months (on-and-off) researching beard trimmers, the i-Stubble came out on top of every report and review I came across. So, with great enthusiasm I purchased one. Upon getting it home I read and followed all the instructions, charged it accordingly, and sat with anticipation for it's first use. It was all downhill after that.

Although the electronic millimeter-incremented adjustable guard seems pretty advanced, it just didn't work as well as I was hoping. I'm not sure if my beard hair is too coarse, too close to my skin, not coarse enough, etc. but I was forced to go over the same area multiple, multiple times to achieve a decent trim. Even then, it did not leave a "uniform" length and the end result looked terrible. To make matters worse, the more times I had to go over the same area, the greater the chance I would scalp the hair; I found the trimmer has to be held at just the right angle adjacent to the skin or else it shears it right down to just about nothing, regardless of the height I set the trimmer to.

I have had the i-Stubble for 7 months now and have not been able to walk away happy with the final product on my face. I have reverted back to using my old hair trimmer without a plastic guard and the adjustable lever set at max length (which would probably leave hair about 0.8-1.2mm in length). I've been looking to replace the i-Stubble, forcing me to read some of the reviews other users have left and am dumbfounded how there are so many positive reviews for this product.

I wish I could return this product.

I purchased this unite a few months ago now and wanted to wait before posting a review to see if any issues came up.

Up to date, this unite has been one of the best that I have used. I have not had an issue with the battery life either. It is very accurate and easy to change the length of your stubble or beard. I wish it didn't reset back to the smallest size every time I re-use the machine but that's something I can live with.

My only issue comes when I am trying to trim with precision. I normally use 3.0 setting for my beard and mustache but I use the lowest setting for my neck area. I still use the trimmer for this part because my neck is very sensitive and razor blades irritate and cause small red bumps on my neck. Because of the self adjusting head, when I put it on the lowest setting, it is hard to precisely trim up to the line where my beard starts and where I shave off. I have learnt to kind of guess how far to go but it is still something I find a bit annoying. If you are just looking to use it to get an even stumble all across your face then this will not cause you any concerns. Also if you use a razor for the more precise details then this wouldn't concern you.

All in all it has performed above my expectation and would recommend it.
