Leavened with occasional flashes of humor, Herter's tale delivers romantic entanglements and even stock elements (e.g., worldly-wise hero, innocent heroine) in an engaging way. However, readers unfamiliar with the earlier Obsession and Possession may find this work flat and incomplete.

I fell in love with the vampire romance genre after reading this book, years before the Twilight series was released. I hope the publishers consider re-releasing these books given the current popularity of paranormal romance...

I can't help it! I love Lori Herter's vampires! I think I 've read all of this series! Ok well, I'm reading Eternity (the last one in the series). If you can get your hands on this series I urge you to do so! I've always loved vampires but ... these are just WOW!
