About the Author
Dr. Farber, President of the Psoriasis Research Institute, Palo Alto, California, and Center Professor and Chairman, Emeritus, Department of Dermatology, Stanford University School of Medicine, is a world-renowned authority in diseases of the skin. He has practiced clinically for more than 40 years and in that time has taken care of more than 10,000 patients with psoriasis. He and his colleagues developed many of the drugs that are used for psoriasis patients today. He continues to devote his considerable energies to his patients and to the research needed to find the cure for psoriasis.
Dr. Nall, an epidemiologist at Stanford University Medical School of Medicine, has had experience in finding the causes and prevention of various dermatologic disorders such as psoriasis and skin cancer. As well, she has studied the effects that aging and AIDS have on skin and has collaborated with Dr. Farber on a number of books and publications on psoriasis. Currently she is the epidemiologist and coordinator of the N1H-sponsored National Epidermolysis Bullosa Registry at Stanford.
